Black Ink Letters Creative Exchange

Shed what you have outgrown; embody what you have learned. Cycles do not always mean entrapment; knowing where we have been also shows us the way forward.

For the annual Black Ink Letters exchange in October, my calligrapher sister and I collaborated on a limited run of hand-made prints. I designed and carved the stamps (one for the ouroboros serpent and another for the moon), and she hand-lettered a phrase in gold ink around it. Getting registration right on the two stamps was tricky, but the small imperfections also made every piece unique.
